Beginning on Monday, November 3, 2014, pilgrims from Immaculate Conception parish in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and elsewhere in eastern Iowa are traveling to Rome, Italy for a 10-day Catholic pilgrimage. The pilgrimage is focused primarily on Rome with a day trip to Assisi. We have a full, amazing itinerary ahead of us, and my plan is to document the journey via this blog, depending on available time and Internet access, of course.

New Blog for Trip to Italy - catholicpilgrimsinrome.blogspot.com
Dear Friends,
This is the inaugural post on my newly created Rome pilgrimage blog (catholicpilgrimsinrome.blogspot.com)!
I'm super excited as we leave one week from today!
We depart the morning of Monday, November 3 and return on Thursday, November 13 in the evening. I think there are about 25-30 pilgrims altogether. And of course, Fr. Chris Podhajsky will be our spiritual leader along with Fr. Mike Philips from Iowa City. And Mary Johnston is our 206 representative/tour leader.
Please keep us in your prayers! I will try to report on what we see and do as often as possible and look forward to your comments!
God bless!
Kim
