Beginning on Monday, November 3, 2014, pilgrims from Immaculate Conception parish in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and elsewhere in eastern Iowa are traveling to Rome, Italy for a 10-day Catholic pilgrimage. The pilgrimage is focused primarily on Rome with a day trip to Assisi.We have a full, amazing itinerary ahead of us, and my plan is to document the journey via this blog, depending on available time and Internet access, of course.

Walking . . .
Today (Sunday), we walked all over the Roman Forum (ruins), and I wanted to show you how challenging it was to walk! We were walking on ancient roads and walkways, and you really had to focus to keep from twisting your ankle!
